The Bootcamp experience is divided into several thematic blocks.
Friday evening and Sunday afternoon bookend the Bootcamp experience, and are dedicated to discovering and refining the core beliefs that make up participants' artistic and personal missions.

Saturday's sessions provide concrete tools for professional and artistic development.
- The morning sessions kick us off with a moment of inspiration, then drill down into the nuts and bolts skills of self-producing — budgeting, casting, and technical proficiencies.
- The afternoon sessions take a dive into how to navigate the artistic gig economy, how to represent your portfolio, and how to advocate for/pitch projects of interest.
- Saturday night features a communal story slam for all participants. Share a piece of your own writing, or read aloud from a piece by someone else that you find personally inspiring or influential on your work.

On Sunday, we look to practice artistic skills.
- The morning session features a chance to hone creative and analytical tools as we dive into the world of non-realism. How do we write or stage work that is formally challenging or unusual?
- The afternoon sessions feature case studies from people who are making work in unique ways in the Boston theatre ecology, and wraps up by revisiting the notion of a personal mission statement.

We keep things accessible!

We've worked to offer Bootcamp registrations at several affordable price points, but we know that some artists may need more support. Partial scholarships and volunteer positions are available, as well as discounts for C1 PlayLab alumnx and current and past participants in C1's Professional Development for Actors course.

Please contact [email protected] with details of your request, including your name and contact info, and which registration options you’re interested in. Please put “Bootcamp” in the subject of your email.
