ABOUT ABOUT

Join us on Saturday, November 20 from 11am-1pm ET for a free online workshop on how to navigate the New Play Exchange, a vital platform for sharing and discovering new plays. This session is for playwrights, play readers, and play producers, and has been designed for beginners and experienced users alike.

Led by National New Play Network Programs Director Anne G. Morgan and New Play Exchange Project Director Gwydion Suilebhan, we'll help you get oriented to the platform, or get advice on optimizing your experience.

>> What is the New Play Exchange?
The New Play Exchange, a National New Play Network project, is the world’s largest digital library of scripts by living writers. The New Play Exchange serves writers, producers, directors, artistic directors, literary managers, dramaturgs, publishers, agents, actors, professors, students, and even fans of the theater by providing an open, egalitarian platform on which writers all over the world can share their work and others can discover that work.

RSVP required; this is a Pay-What-You-Want experience with $0 minimum. All proceeds support C1's mission to build community at the intersection of art and social change.

>> About C1's Open Circuit Programs
C1's Open Circuit Programs are free, alternating monthly Saturday morning meetings open to all theatremakers dedicated to new work. Virtual Open-Write months feature guest writers who lead attendees through exercises and writing time. Field Work months feature a professional development topic relevant to building a career as a civic-minded theatre artist, with guest artists providing a teach-in on that theme, and time for attendees work on their own materials.
